16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence: CWAD’s Journey November 25 – December 10, 2025

CWAD successfully observed the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence from November 25 to December 10, 2025, through a series of meaningful activities implemented in collaboration with women’s groups, schools, local governments, civil society organizations, media, youth, and community members across Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City (Wards 8 and 9), Godawori Municipality (Wards 7 and 8), and Bhaktapur.

Throughout the 16 days, CWAD shared strong advocacy messages from its Board Members, Advisors, and staff, organized working group network meetings with key stakeholders, and conducted interaction and dialogue sessions with media representatives and CSOs to strengthen coordinated action against GBV. Community awareness rallies, placard campaigns, and sensitization activities were led by women’s groups, while capacity-building sessions addressed digital violence, workplace harassment, and the rights of women and girls.

In addition, CWAD supported marginalized students in Kailali and Dhangadhi through the distribution of school tracksuits, helping ensure continued access to education during the cold season. The active engagement of youth, students, and community leaders reinforced messages of equality, safety, dignity, and collective responsibility.

These efforts reflect CWAD’s continued commitment to empowering women and girls, promoting safer communities, and working collectively to end gender-based violence.
