CWAD recently concluded a transformative 5-days Capacity Development Training in alliance with Dalit Women Rights Forum Nepal (DWRF), representatives from Women Groups, Women and Dalit Women representatives from Godawari Municipality Ward 7 & 8, and Dhangadi Sub-Metropolitan City Ward 8 & 9.
The training extensively covered topics such as advocating for GESI and community empowerment through policy advocacy for legal rights, understanding constitutional provisions, and delving into vital legal aspects. Additionally, it emphasized strengthening women’s leadership, community group empowerment, survivor-centric approaches, and engagement with judicial committees and local government services.
This training stands as a beacon of CWAD’s dedication to empowering women and fostering inclusive communities, charting a path towards a more equitable society.
Special thanks to Prof. Dr. Shashi Adhikary and Dr. Anita Shrestha who played an instrumental role as resource persons, enriching the sessions with their expertise.
