Day 2: Training Program on Women’s Empowerment on policy advocacy for their Legal Rights, Provision in Constitution; Fundamental Rights, Legal Rights: Vital Registration such as Birth; Citizenship; Marriage; Divorce; Inheritance law and Other Laws
The second day of the training included raising awareness and information sharing regarding Birth registration and legal identity as those rights are enshrined by international human rights treaties. It is widely recognized that legal identity, through birth registration and issuing documentation, is one of the most important steps to establish access to other fundamental rights, and therefore facilitates the inclusion and well-being of all people in the country. Participants were engaged in discussions, workshops, and activities aimed at fostering a deeper understanding of those legal provisions.
This training encouraged active participation, networking, and reflection, with the goal of promoting Women’s Empowerment on policy advocacy for their Legal Rights.
