Day 1 of Training of Trainers (TOT) on Women’s Economic Empowerment – A Successful Start

The Training of Trainers (TOT) on Women’s Economic Empowerment began for women’s group members from Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City (Ward 8 & 9) and Godawari Municipality (Ward 7 & 8) at Hotel Basera, Dhangadhi. Supported by AEIN – Aide à l’Enfance de l’Inde et du Népal, the four-day training kicked off with an opening session by Prasanna Raut, followed by a welcome speech from Sabitra Ghimire. The day’s sessions included introductions and expectation discussions, a focus on the challenges and opportunities in small businesses, self-reflection exercises, household economic analysis, and risk analysis through case studies. The sessions were facilitated by Dr. Anita Shrestha and Mr. Bishow Raj Karki, providing participants with valuable tools and insights for economic empowerment. Day 1 set a strong foundation for the participants’ journey toward entrepreneurship and economic independence.
