On 10th February 2025, a Training of Trainers (TOT) on Economic Empowerment was held at Bhaktapur Guest House, Chundevi, Suryabinak Municipality, Ward-6, with the financial support of AEIN – Aide à l’Enfance de l’Inde et du Népal. The training, aimed at building agency for the women’s group members (Weeo Empowerment), was facilitated by Dr. Anita Shrestha and Mr. Bishow Karki using a participatory approach. The session covered key topics, including exploring identities, diversity, equity, inclusion, and intersectionality, and introduced The Johari Window theory to enhance self-awareness. The program included interactive activities such as a game illustrating the workload and responsibilities borne by women, allowing participants to realize, internalize, and actualize these challenges. Discussions focused on the main problems in establishing and operating micro-level enterprises, assessing their potential and likelihood for success, and identifying the entrepreneurial challenges faced by women. Additionally, a risk analysis exercise based on a case study helped participants evaluate the risks associated with their enterprises. The training was a significant step towards empowering women and enhancing their capacity to overcome challenges in entrepreneurship.
