Day 2 Training of Trainers on Economic Empowerment : Focus on Strategic Planning for Income-Generating Businesses

On 11th February 2025, Day 2 of the Training of Trainers (TOT) on Economic Empowerment was conducted for the members of the women’s group in Suryabinayak Municipality, Ward No. 6, Bhaktapur, at Bhaktapur Guest House, Chundevi. This session was supported by AEIN – Aide à l’Enfance de l’Inde et du Népal and focused on equipping participants with essential skills for establishing and running income-generating businesses, with an emphasis on strategic planning and action.

The session was facilitated by Dr. Anita Shrestha and Mr. Bishow Karki through a participatory approach, encouraging participants to reflect on the crucial aspects of entrepreneurial success. The key highlights of the day included a discussion on the characteristics of successful entrepreneurs, effective income-generating activities, and the importance of budget planning and disbursement. A role model case presentation was also shared to inspire and illustrate real-life examples of entrepreneurial success. The session delved into understanding income-generating activities and the market mechanisms that drive business growth. Finally, the participants engaged in discussions about real business management practices and the principles of business management. This session provided valuable insights into the practical aspects of starting and managing a business, helping the participants build confidence in their entrepreneurial journey.
