Day 2: Training Session on Women’s Empowerment on policy advocacy for their Legal Rights, Provision in Constitution; Fundamental Rights, Legal Rights: Vital Registration such as Birth; Citizenship; Marriage; Divorce; Inheritance law and Other Laws

The second day of a five-days Transformative Capacity Development Training at Suryabinyak, Municipality Ward #6, created a platform where the women from different communities, got chance to know about the ways to access the legal services. Women, in general, are hesitant to bring a legal dispute to the formal mechanism as they were less aware about their rights in terms of security and justice. It is widely recognized that legal identity, through birth registration and issuing documentation, is one of the most important steps to establish access to other fundamental rights, and therefore facilitates the inclusion and well-being of all people in the country.

Participants were engaged in discussions, workshops, and activities aimed at fostering a deeper understanding of those legal provisions. This training encouraged active participation, networking, and reflection, with the goal of promoting Women’s Empowerment on policy advocacy for their Legal Rights.
