Today’s session centered on raising awareness among participants regarding the human rights and security challenges faced by women and girls, with a focus on fostering transformative leadership skills. By deepening their understanding of women’s rights as fundamental human rights, the training aimed to propel gender equality forward while confronting attitudes and behaviors perpetuating violence. The training sought to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to promote and protect women’s rights, fostering the development of shared agendas.
Furthermore, as March marks International Women’s Day, we took the opportunity to highlight the significance of this occasion. Gender equality remains a paramount human rights challenge, and investing in women is essential for building inclusive societies. Recognizing that progress for women benefits everyone, we dedicated today’s session to educating participants about International Women’s Day and this year’s theme, “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress.” This theme aligns with the priority theme for the 68th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women, emphasizing the urgent need to prioritize women’s empowerment and advancement to drive societal progress.
