Empowerment of Women through Cooperative and Small Entrepreneurship Development:

CWAD had conducted the project Empowerment of Women through Cooperative and Small Entrepreneurship Development at Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur Districts of Nepal in 2010-2011 with the financial support from Virginia Gildersleeve International Fund, (VGIF) Inc. New York, USA. During this project there were three Women Savings and Credit Cooperatives was established in the three districts of Kritipur- Kathmandu, MadhypurThimi- Bhaktapur and Dhapakhel-Lalitpur and registered in District cooperative office and functioning through leadership of women of respective districts. In the same way, there were 31 women received accountancy training and being able to do financial transactions of saving and credit and keep reports systematically in the respective cooperatives.
