Formation of Working Group Network Meeting

CWAD organized its formation of working group network meeting on 6th September 2021 (Bhadra 21 st , 2078). There were altogether 16 participants among them 2 were male and 14 were female. In this meeting, Economic Expert Dr. Bina Pradhan, Labor Expert Honorable Dr. Binda Pandey and Technical expert Ms. Nitu Neupane from ILO joined the meeting to provide their expertise regarding our initiative. For the working group network, members such as representatives from FRESH International, HIDR Nepal, Rising Nepal, WHR, AMKAS Nepal, INWOLAG, AAWAJ, Pourakhi, Maiti Nepal, and other likeminded Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) shown their active participation.

The objective of this meeting was to inform the working group network members regarding this initiative to work on institutionalizing Economic Justice of women and marginalized Community through Policy Advocacy from Central to Local Government in Nepal. In doing so, we will be analysing the Laws and Provisions in Constitution of Nepal related to economic development/economical part of the country and more specifically for the economic Justice of Women. Then also review the Labor Act, Foreign Employment Act, Child labor a Regulation and Elimination Act, Contributory Social Security Fund Act, Muliki Civil Code (Domestic worker and Remuneration related), and Employment Act from labor perspective for the economic justice of marginalized community (women, dalit and disability group).
