CWAD conducted a One Day Program in coordination with the Judicial Committee of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality in the presence of local representatives, Municipal staffs, Mediation Committee Members, and Paralegals on Bhadra 8th 2079 (24th August 2022).
A total of 65 people participated among with 51 were female and 14 were male. Deputy Mayor Bijaya Krishna Shrestha, Vice-Chairperson of District Coordination Committee Office Sujata Bade, Chief Administrative Officer Bijayaraj Subedi, Durpata Pandit from Senior Citizens, Women and Children Branch, Ward Chairpersons, Judicial Committee Members also attended the program.
Deputy Mayor of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality, Mr. Bijaya Krishna Shrestha expressed his sincere thanks to CWAD for organizing such an important and effective program. He further added that, he was glad that Judicial Committee was able to coordinate one of a kind program with the local representatives and municipal staff as well as the mediation committee members and Paralegals. He was hopeful that this program helped to aware the participants about the existing provision in our Constitution, National Laws, Policies and Provisions as well as on the international instruments. Moreover, committed that he will take a lead in Madhyapur Thimi Municipality to encourage and support the economic justice of women and marginalized community in various ways suggested by the presenter in the existing provisions.
Likewise, Vice-Chairperson of District Coordination Committee Office Sujata Bade was grateful to be a part of this program. And recalls her participation with CWAD in their previous programs. She feels fortunate that, he was able to learn, understand and interact with such personalities in yet another fruitful program in coordination with Judicial Committee of Madhyapur Thimi municipality. She urged upon everyone to remember the learning about the national and international provisions to enhance the economic justice of women and marginalized community and share among the community people as a responsibility being the people’s representative.
