CWAD conducted a One Day Program in coordination with the Judicial Committee of Tokha Municipality in the presence of local representatives, Municipal staffs, Mediation Committee Members, and Paralegals on Bhadra 7th 2079 (23rd August 2022).
A total of 57 people participated among with 39 were female and 18 were male. Mayor Prakhash Adhikary, Deputy Mayor Murari Tamang, Chief Administrative Officer Shankhar Raj Pathak, Sabitra Neupane and Bimala Wagle from Women Department, Ward Chairpersons, Judicial Committee Members also attended the program.
Mayor of Tokha Municipality, Mr. Prakhash Adhikary expressed his gratitude to CWAD for organizing such an important and effective program. He shared his experience while working with CWAD during his previous term. And recalled about similarly important programs that were organized that resulted to benefit the municipal people. He hoped that today’s program was equally helped to aware the representatives as well as the municipal staff members about the existing provision in our Constitution, National Laws, Policies and Provisions as well as on the international instruments. Moreover, committed that Tokha Municipality will be able to promote and establish a business with this term as an example to all the local level government.
Likewise, Deputy Mayor Murari Tamang, expressed her sincere thanks to CWAD for organizing a fruitful program in coordination with Judicial Committee of Tokha municipality. He was able to learn a numerous new thing in two well designed sessions and hoped that the participants were able to learn the same about the national and international provisions to enhance the economic justice of women and marginalized community. Furthermore, is committed to utilize today’s learning in practice for the betterment of the people of Tokha Municipality. And is hopeful that the participants will be able to implement and share the learnings to more people in their community level.
