Meeting and Dialogue with Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs on Penal Code (Criminal Code)

CWAD conducted a follow-up meeting and exchanged critical dialogue with Joint Secretary of Ministry of Law Justice and Parliamentarian Affairs Mr Man Bahadur Aryal on the National Penal Code (Criminal Code). CWAD submitted the “Teen Mahale” to Mr Aryal proposing amendments in the National Penal Code (Criminal Code) from the GESI perspective. The feedback and proposed suggestions were received positively by the Ministry.
 
The meeting was attended by CWAD’s Advisor Prof. Dr Shashi Adhikary, General Member Assist. Prof. Manisha Poudel, Advocate Uma Tamang, CWAD’s Project Coordinator Prasanna Raut and Communication Officer Adv. Dikchya Raut
 
In the first quarter of the project, CWAD had also submitted the “Teen Mahale” to the former Honorable Law Minister Mr Lila Nath Shrestha and exchanged critical dialogue.
