CWAD, in collaboration with DWRF Nepal and with the generous support of AEIN – Aide à l’Enfance de l’Inde et du Népal, successfully organized a one-day orientation program on “National and International Laws and Policies on Women’s Economic Justice” on April 29, 2025 (Baisakh 16, 2082) in Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City and Godawari Municipality.
Legal expert Prof. Dr. Shashi Adhikary led a session on Nepal’s constitutional provisions and national laws promoting women’s economic justice, while Dr. Anita presented on key international instruments such as CEDAW, ICCPR, ICESCR, the Beijing Platform for Action, and the SDGs.
Interactive group discussions and municipality-wise presentations allowed participants to reflect on local practices and express their commitment to advancing women’s economic rights and empowerment.
This initiative marked a significant step towards strengthening inclusive governance and building local-level capacity to uphold economic justice for women.
