Orientation on the Role of Men and Youth in Promoting Gender Equality Held in Suryabinayak Municipality

On May 22, 2025 , CWAD successfully conducted a one-day orientation in Suryabinayak, Bhaktapur, focused on “The Role of Men and Youth in Promoting Gender Equality and Empowering Marginalized Women.” With support from AEIN, the event brought together women’s group members and their male family members, along with community school teachers.

Dr. Anita Shrestha led an insightful session on men and youth as allies for gender equality, exploring core concepts like sex, gender, and patriarchy. Prof. Dr. Shashi Adhikary addressed gender-based violence and the importance of supporting women’s leadership.

The program encouraged open dialogue, critical reflection, and collective commitment to building inclusive, gender-equitable communities.
