Prof. Kusum Shrestha has worked for almost 40 years teaching at Nepal Law Campus, Faculty of Law Tribhuvan University of Nepal. She has also served as a Member of Tribhuvan University Academic Council, Member of Research Committee of The Faculty of Law, Member of Management Committee and Working, Head of Central Department of Law, Tribhuvan University, and a Former Asst. Dean of Faculty of Law, T.U.
She completed her LL.M from Harvard Law School, Specialization in Family Law and U.N. Law in 1981. Whereas she completed her D.L. from Nepal Law Campus, Tribhuvan University in 1975 and B.A. from Loreto College, North Bengal University, Darjeeling, India in 1973.
In addition, she has involved herself to various organization as a Past President, Executive Member and General Mamber such as Centre for Women’s Awareness and Development (CWAD), Forum for Women, Law and Development (FWLD), Legal and Environmental Analysis for Development and Research Services (LEADERS, Nepal), Society for constitutional and Parliamentary exercise (SCOPE), Nepal Center for Women and Children Affairs (NCWCA), Nepal Law Society and Shtrii Shakti. During these times, she was involved in various decision-making position using her expertise and experience. Nevertheless, she has been involved in numerous Seminar/Symposium as well as n Research and Publication.
