CWAD organized a meeting with the Ministry of Law and Justice on 17th January 2019. During this meeting, CWAD representatives and team members submitted the collective recommendation from the civil society organization on Legal Aid Policy Draft 2074 to Joint-Secretary Phadindra Gautam. We had a productive conversation and discussion on the draft, about the structural, institutional framework of the legal aid committee and about the recognition of Paralegals. The discussion emphasized the issue relating to the recognition of paralegals at the local level in enhancing the justice of poor, marginalized and disadvantaged groups of people.
