Successful Completion of Orientation on Men Engagement for Empowering Marginalized Women and Girls in Godawori Municipality

On April 30, 2025 (Baisakh 17, 2082), CWAD, in collaboration with Dwrf Nepal and with the support of AEIN – Aide à l’Enfance de l’Inde et du Népal, successfully conducted a one-day orientation on Men Engagement for Agency Building of Marginalized Women and Girls in Godawari Municipality. The event brought together women group members along with their husbands, fathers-in-law, sons, and other male community members, including teachers and local leaders. Dr. Anita Shrestha and Prof. Dr. Shashi Adhikary led powerful sessions on gender equality, social inclusion, and the role of men and youth in ending gender-based violence. The orientation encouraged critical reflection, open dialogue, and collective commitment, with many male participants pledging to become Champions of Change by supporting women’s leadership and standing against gender-based violence.
