Successful formation of a Working Group Network for Access to Justice for marginalized women, girls, and GBV victims/survivors in Bhaktapur District.

 

This impactful meeting saw the active participation of the Chief District Officer of Bhaktapur along with representatives from CSOs, the public prosecutor’s office, district bar association, legal aid lawyers, district police, women’s police cell, the district health office, the One-Stop Crisis Management Center (OCMC), Suryabinayak Municipality, and community school teachers. Together, they pledged to join forces in this network to assist and empower marginalized women and GBV survivors in their journey toward justice and access to essential resources. 

 

The session was further enriched by insightful presentations:  Prof. Dr. Shashi Adhikary, who shed light on the importance of Access to Justice for victims/survivors and Dr. Anita Shrestha, who highlighted the critical role of an effective Referral Mechanism for GBV victims/survivors. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in ensuring justice, protection, and support for those in need.
