The workshop with the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs under the heading “Necessity of Legal Aid Policy for Access to Justice” was held on 14th February 2018 at Indreni Foodland and Restaurant, Budhanagar Kathmandu. The participants were from Ministry, Government stakeholders, Civil Society Organizations such as LACC, FWLD, CeLLrd, Nepal Bar Association, National Human Right Commission, National Women Commission, Members from Legal Aid Committee etc. In the program, a paper was presented by the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affair’s Under-Secretary Hum Bdr K.C in the presence of Joint secretary Dilliram Dahal on “Legal Aid Policy draft” and was followed by an open floor discussion among the participant. The main objective of the program was to contribute to the legal Aid Policy to increase easy access to justice for women, Dalit, Marginalized group and person with disabilities.
