This workshop was jointly organized by the Centre for Women’s Awareness and Development (CWAD) Public Defender Society Nepal (PDS) and Open Society Foundation (OSF) from 13th to 15th September 2018 in Kathmandu. The main objective of this residential workshop was to have a comprehensive discussion on the draft of the integrated legal aid policy of Nepal. This then led to a recommendation from the participants that included officials from the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Court-appointed Stipendiary lawyers (Baitanik Wokils), Nepal Bar Association, District Legal Aid Committee, Civil Society Organizations and the international legal aid experts.
