23^rd Annual Day

CWAD celebrated its 23^rd Annual Day on 30th July (14th Shrawan). We organized an official program chaired by Dr. Anita Shrestha, Present Chairperson of CWAD. CWAD Past Chairpersons, Secretaries, Board Members and Advisory Board Members as well as Deputy Mayor and Chair of Judicial Committee of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality, Ms. Anjana Devi Madhikarmi and of Gokarneswor Municipality, Ms. Shanti Nepal with their presence helped us make this program successful with lots of experience sharing as well as the future steps of the organization. CWAD Chairperson thanked all the CWAD board members, advisory board members, staff members for their continuous and endless dedication as well as contribution in each and every step of/for the organization. Similarly, we took this opportunity to present a Token of Love to the Deputy Mayor of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality and Gokarneshwor Municipality for their continuous cooperation and coordination to conduct various activities in their respective municipalities. Deputy Mayor of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality and Gokarneshwor Municipality expressed their sincere thanks for making them part of the mission to work for the Protection and Promotion of Human rights of Women, Children, and marginalized communities through various empowerment trainings and awareness programs. And committed to work more in the days to come in collaboration with CWAD to empower women and make easy access to justice to women, children, poor and marginalized people in future.
At the end of the event, Chairperson Dr. Anita Shrestha gave a vote of thanks for their presence and celebrating another year of success of the organization, and hoping for the continuous love and support in days to come. In doing so she again briefly highlighted CWAD’s achievements and continuous work for the protection and promotion of women and children human rights.
22^nd Annual Day

CWAD has been celebrating its Annual Day on 30th July (14th Shrawan) every year. Present Chairperson Advocate Rekha Tulachan chaired the program. Prof. Dr Shashi Adhikary- Advisor and founder chair, Advocate Meera Dhungana- Founder Chair, Dr. Anita Shrestha- Executive Board Member, board members, general members, staff members and other guests’ attended the program During this program, founder chair Prof. Dr Shashi Adhikary and Advocate Meera Dhungana shared about the journey from day one and the memorable moments and events till date. Similarly they also mentioned CWAD’s work and achievements on ending the forms of discrimination against women and to protect women for their best interest. In addition, CWAD it is also known as a feminist and right based organization because from the time of its establishment we are continuously working for policy advocacy and evidence- based advocacy for the women rights and justice.
At the end of the event, Chairperson Advocate Rekha Tulachan thanked everyone for their participation and celebrating together for yet another year of work and success. She also took this moment to again thank the board members and staff members for their contribution and work.
