The Centre for Women’s Awareness and Development (CWAD), with financial support from AEIN – Aide à l’Enfance de l’Inde et du Népal, organized a refresher training on Women’s Economic Empowerment at Bhaktapur Guest House, Bhaktapur.

The first day of the training brought together members of the Women Empowered Entrepreneurs Organization (WEEO) to strengthen their knowledge, skills, and business capacities. The training is designed to support women’s group members who have previously received economic empowerment support, as well as those planned to receive support in the upcoming phase.

Key Sessions of Day 1

The first day focused on SWOT Analysis, Business Management, Market and Marketing. Through interactive discussions and practical exercises, participants explored the strengths and weaknesses of their businesses, identified opportunities and challenges, and discussed practical approaches to strengthen their business strategies.

Participants also learned about market identification and marketing strategies, including understanding customer needs, identifying target markets, analyzing competition, setting appropriate prices, promoting products, and exploring opportunities for business expansion.

The session was facilitated by Mr. Bishwo Raj Karki.

The day concluded with an engaging presentation of the movie “Three Monks,” through which participants reflected on the importance of teamwork, cooperation, communication, coordination, shared responsibility, and collective problem-solving. The discussion encouraged participants to connect these lessons with their own group work and business activities.
