The second day of the Refresher Training on Women’s Economic Empowerment, organized by the Centre for Women’s Awareness and Development (CWAD) with financial support from AEIN – Aide à l’Enfance de l’Inde et du Népal, was successfully completed at Bhaktapur Guest House, Bhaktapur.
The training brought together members of the Women Empowered Entrepreneurs Organization (WEEO) to strengthen their practical knowledge and skills for managing their businesses more effectively.
The session began with a recap and reflection on the key learnings from Day 1, particularly on business management, market and marketing, and SWOT analysis. This provided participants with an opportunity to connect the previous day’s learning with the financial and accounting concepts introduced on Day 2.

The second day focused on Financial and Accounting Management. Participants learned about:
- Maintaining daily business records;
- Maintaining cash and transaction records;
- Recording sales and purchases;
- Tracking business expenses;

Through practical exercises and hands-on activities, participants practiced maintaining financial records and explored how proper accounting can help them track business performance, manage finances effectively, and make informed business decisions.
The session provided participants with practical knowledge that can be directly applied to their businesses and income-generating activities. The training also encouraged participants to develop regular financial record-keeping practices as an essential part of effective business management.
CWAD continues to strengthen women’s financial and business management capacities as part of its efforts to promote sustainable, self-reliant, and economically empowered women-led businesses.
