The second day of the Refresher Training on Women’s Economic Empowerment, organized by the Centre for Women’s Awareness and Development (CWAD) in coordination with the Dalit Women’s Rights Forum Nepal (DWRF) and with financial support from AEIN – Aide à l’Enfance de l’Inde et du Népal, was successfully conducted at Hotel Basera, Dhangadhi, Kailali.
The session began with a recap and reflection on the key learnings from Day 1, allowing participants to revisit concepts related to business management and marketing and connect them with the new topics introduced during the second day.
Day 2 focused on strengthening participants’ knowledge and practical skills in financial and accounting management. The sessions covered key areas including maintaining daily financial records, cash records, sales and purchase records, expense tracking, loans, assets, profit and loss, and balance sheets.
Through practical exercises and hands-on learning, participants practiced maintaining basic financial records and gained a better understanding of how proper financial management can support effective business planning and informed decision-making.
The training provided women’s group members with practical knowledge that can be applied to their existing and planned businesses, helping them improve financial record-keeping and strengthen their overall business management skills.
CWAD continues to promote women’s economic empowerment by strengthening women’s knowledge, skills, entrepreneurship, and capacity for sustainable livelihood and business development.
